The author’s name and title of the work stamped in black, separated by a decorative accent stamped in red. Fine. Scarce.
One of 26 copies printed for the friends of John Martin. Martin was the founder of Black Sparrow Press and the long-time publisher of Bukowski’s work. According to a 2007 forum post by Bill Roberts of Bottle of Smoke Press, “The poem itself [The Drowning] has not ever had separate publication and has only appeared once, in ‘The Southern Poetry Review’ in 1965.”.
