Each of the 26 deluxe lettered copies contain an original painting by Soheyl Dahi and was bound with a different handmade paste paper and then hand sewn by Jill Cypher and Ray Nichols of Wallflowers Press. Additionally, each of the 26 deluxe lettered copies is signed by Bill Morgan (one of the executors of Allen Ginsberg's estate and the person who gave Sore Dove Press the letter), Soheyl Dahi (founder of Sore Dove Press and friend and publisher to several Beat generation poets), Bill Roberts (Bottle of Smoke Press), Jill Cypher, and Ray Nichols on a label mounted on the inside of the front cover.
This is a scarce deluxe edition of a previously unpublished letter from Allen Ginsberg to Jack Kerouac, written before the ground-breaking poem Howl was published and just a few days before Ginsberg’s 29th birthday.
