San Francisco: Intersection for the Arts, [October 1978]. 35.5x21.5cm: Broadside SIGNED by Diane di Prima under her name. Printed on white paper with lettering in black. Featured at the top is an illustration reminiscent of Nut, the Egyptian sky goddess, by Tasha Robbins. A hint of toning along edges. Light creases along bottom edge with more noticeable creases at top right corner, without any loss. Better than Very Good.

The broadside lists the Tuesday night poetry events for October 1978, as well as a poetry week event with the Feminist Writers’ Guild on the evening of Wednesday, November 1. In addition to di Prima’s solo appearance on October 24, this broadside features several influential writers including Freedom Rider Steve Sanfield, Leona Welch, David Bromige, Dale Pendell, and Bob Glück.

The Intersection for the Arts was established in 1965 and was designed as a space for diverse and disenfranchised voices in the arts and the community. It is the oldest alternative non-profit art space in San Francisco with one of California’s longest continuous reading series with famed performers including Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Gregory Corso, William S. Burroughs, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and Margaret Atwood.
