Promotional packet includes a colorful double-sided handbill (28.2x21.5cm) illustrated with Keith Haring’s iconic Untitled (Dance) 1987, along with a stapled grouping of a double-sided promotion card (22.8x9.2cm), a cover letter by Madonna with her printed signature (27.9x21.6cm), and a registration card (21.6x8.8cm). Handbill and letter with neat folds from having been previously mailed. 93 JAN neatly written in ink on top right verso of handbill and recto of letter. Near Fine.

The AIDS Dance-A-Thon fundraiser series took place between the late 1980s and mid 1990s in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Funds raised were allocated to vital services for people with AIDS, prevention and education programs, policy shaping, and advocacy campaigns. This promotional packet for the 1993 Fort Mason Center party was specifically mailed to those who attended the previous year's edition. Madonna, who participated in the 1989, 1991, and 1994 editions, describes the event’s urgency and grandeur in her cover letter: “You were there last year, so I don't need to tell you this event is going to be outrageous... And when you dance, you'll know that with each beat you're helping to support thousands of men, women, and children with AIDS/HIV.”.
